Recently, myCOVIDteam posted a survey based on the questions the site’s members frequently ask. The goal was to help members understand how their experiences compare with others who have had COVID-19.

The results of member surveys are shared on myCOVIDteam, so our community can learn collectively from each other’s experiences.

Members shared their most troubling COVID-19 symptoms, which included fatigue, congestion, headache, and cough.

Members of myCOVIDteam also shared the toll COVID-19 can take on everyday life. Of those surveyed, 62 percent reported that COVID-19 had severely impacted their daily activities.

Other survey findings included:

  • 83 percent of those surveyed experienced COVID-19 symptoms for more than a week; 28 percent for more than a month.
  • Half of those who have retested for COVID-19 reported it took more than a week after their first positive test to get a negative response on a test.
  • About a third of survey respondents were fully vaccinated and boosted before getting COVID-19.

The survey asked members of myCOVIDteam for tips on managing COVID-19. Top suggestions included getting rest and drinking plenty of liquids.

It’s important to keep in mind that these results reflect only the experience of surveyed myCOVIDteam members and not all people who get COVID-19.
