No Taste When Eating And Using A Walker.

A myCOVIDteam Member asked a question 💭
Quebec, QC

I am recently out of the hospital after 3 week of covid, I have no taste, I only eat because I know I have to, how long is this going to last, just the thought of eating makes me gag. Plus I am using a walker as my leg muscles lost their strength, I am coming along, but was wondering if anyone knew about how long it will take? And did covid cause intestinal problems? Thank you for any help.

After 2 years from contracting Covid I am still struggling with taste and smell although it is far better than it was initially. After 6 months in hospital I was discharged in a wheel chair but I then started on an aggressive forced walking Programme and after 2 months I could attain a distance of 1 km - now , 2 years later and with a lung capacity of 50% am attaining 6 km per day and walking up steep gradients.
No intestinal problems at all
