Don Rauf

Don is a prolific writer for numerous online sites, as well as the author of more than 50 books, including “Lost America: Vanished Civilizations, Abandoned Towns, and Roadside Attractions” and “Killer Lipstick and Other Spy Gadgets.” He has interviewed celebrities such as actor Johnny Depp, singer-songwriter Tom Lehrer, chef Marcus Samuelsson, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and fashion designer Liz Lange.

A musician as well as a writer, Don is the songwriter and vocalist for the band Life in a Blender, with whom he has released nine albums.

He is also a member of the literary music group the Bushwick Book Club, for whom he has written and performed such classic songs as “A Freak of Nature With a Lonely Heart” and “My Heart Your Sweat Does Feed.”

Don lives in Seattle.
